Stanton O. Galstad, 74, of Eden Prairie, passed away May 25, 2021.
Stan worked his entire life to incorporate his love of music and his faith into supporting and encouraging his family and friends.
He worked for many years to complete his music degrees and become a band teacher. He taught for 13 years at Sleepy Eye Public Schools, and eight years at Jordan Public Schools.
He was named Teacher of the Year, and positively impacted hundreds of students with his passion for music.
He was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family, and was beloved by his students.
Stan’s greatest joy was his faith in Jesus Christ, and he incorporated his music into his faith as a multi-talented church musician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy; children: Elizabeth (Matthew) Anderson, Greg (Jennifer) Galstad, Kristin (Andy) Enestvedt; six grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn (Don) Struckmeyer.
Visitation will take place at 1 p.m., with a service 2 p.m. August 20, 2021, at Washburn-McCreavey Funeral Home, Eden Prairie. |
