Brown County 4-H families came together May 15th at the Extension Office in Sleepy Eye for a Rabbit Project Workshop. Rabbit Superintendent, Gina Nienhaus, and Jr. Rabbit Superintendent, Chloe Johnson, led the members of various experience levels through a variety of educational rabbit fun! They spent their morning covering basic rabbit care, terminology, showmanship, showing standards, rabbit trivia, and even made healthy treats for each of their rabbits.
The Sleepy Eye Wide Awakes 4-H club members met May 16th at Flandrau State Park in New Ulm. After a quick meeting, the club enjoyed an afternoon at the park. Members and their families walked the hiking trails and played frisbee golf, then enjoyed a snack as a club before heading home.
