Coach’s Comments (Ryan Hulke):
“I am extremely proud of this group and how they’ve came together the last three weeks and will do whatever it takes to get a win and keep moving on. We are unselfish and are playing within our roles and we are one game away from the state tournament. We continue to just play with grit and we battle through other teams runs and stay mentally focused the whole game.
Coming into the game BOLD had inches and physical size on us at every position but we outrebounded them by three and only gave up 10 offensive rebounds the whole night. “We really talk about two things before every game, rebounds and turnovers and for us to out rebound them and only give the ball away 10 times is a recipe for success.”
Looking at the Section Finals Friday we can’t look at what we did vs St. Clair in December when we beat them by 31. They were a team just figuring out their system, adding a transfer player, and their underclassman roles. We need to come in with the same mindset we have Tuesday night because once again we are giving up a lot of size. It will be a battle until the end. ”
