Phyllis was a devoted mother who cherished her children deeply. Her unwavering love for her four children was evident in her goal to make each of them her “favorites,” a goal she achieved with love and care. She was known for her caregiving nature, empathy, and boundless energy, earning her the title of an “Energizer Bunny.” Overcoming the challenges of being a young mother, she displayed resourcefulness by putting herself through nursing school, leading to a fulfilling career of helping others. Phyllis had a warm and welcoming presence, endearing herself to everyone she met, leaving many saddened hearts with her passing.
She is survived by DeeDee Sellner, Doug (Carla) Sellner, Dan (Joy) Sellner, and Darren Sellner, as well as her sister Aggie, brother Dennis (Gayle), and Alfred. Phyllis also leaves behind her grandchildren Amber, Justin, Tyler, Hanna, Brittney, Spencer, Kenzie, Austin, and Carsen, along with seven great-grandchildren.
A special acknowledgment to the Staff at Woodstone for their loving and devoted care.
Private family burial services will be held at a later date to honor Phyllis Leona Nelson’s life and legacy.
