The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call early Thursday morning involving a caller at a Minnesota River boat ramp near State Highway 4 who said someone tried to kill him.
“We responded to a call at 12:54 a.m. Thursday about a man who said someone tried to kill him. There was a deceased woman at the scene. The man was transported to Sleepy Eye Medical Center for treatment,” said Nicollet County Sheriff Dave Lange.
Sheriff Lange would not disclose any more details on the incident but said his office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating it.
Sleepy Eye Police officer Elliott Waterbury said his department assisted with the incident, contacting people about it.
