Margaret E. Guldager, age 93 of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2023, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center surrounded by her children. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye. A Memorial Service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 11:00 am. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.facebook.com/
Margaret Ellen (Livingston) Guldager was born June 8, 1930, in Brookfield Township, Renville County. She graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1948. After graduation, she received her nursing certificate and worked at the Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital. She married Harold (Red) Guldager on January 13, 1951, at the Congregational Church in Sleepy Eye. Margaret enjoyed homemaking, gardening, volunteering and most of all, spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Margaret’s faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has guided her through many personal trials and heartaches. Her faith, perseverance and strength will always be remembered and a true inspiration for her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by daughters, Sherri Seifert and Kathy (Robert) Ibberson; son, Thomas (Jeanne) Guldager; additional daughters-in-heart, Debra (Hornick) Magallanes, Karen (Danielsen) Lerche, and Celeste Satriano; son-in-law, Klaus Danielsen; grandchildren, Andrew (Julie) Seifert, Benjamin Ibberson, Anthony (Heather) Ibberson, Kathryn (John) Tempel, Laurits (Louise) Danielsen, Simon Danielsen, Aubrey Guldager, Bethany (Mark) Rogers, Johanna Magallanes, Isaac Lerche, and Nina Lerche; great-grandchildren, Sara, Joey, and Mia Seifert, Margaret Krueger, Theodore and Wilder Tempel, Mark III and Lincoln Rogers, Emil and Ellen Danielsen, Bjorn Lerche, Jamesen Magallanes, Myles Rolph-Bridgett, Taylor Forsman, Shayla Sprenger, and Illiana Tempel; sister-in-law, Kit (Don) Orth; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Livingston and Elnora Mary (Shields) Beem; infant sister; husband, Harold (Red) Guldager; daughter, JoEllen Guldager; mother and father-in-law, Johanna and Nels P. Guldager; additional caregivers, Erna and Myron Orth; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Harry) Wilkins, Pearl (Myron) Berkner, Floyd (Mabel) Guldager, Don Orth, Daryl (Marie) Orth, and Wilma (Kermit) Lyslo.
