Katelyn moved to Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, from Pattaya City, Thailand in 1976. In 2007, she married the love of her life, Michael Mason of Sleepy Eye Stained Glass. Together, they loved doing stained glass and flea marketing. Katelyn loved making jewelry and collecting antiques, and she had finally realized her dream of opening her own antique shop prior to her passing.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Mason; sons, Thomas Kolbe II, Christopher Kolbe and Anthony Kolbe; her only daughter, Elizabeth Kolbe; and stepdaughter, Deanna Marshall. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Thor, Jaxon and Milena Kolbe; step grandchildren, Alexsis (Jamie) Lahn, Shaun (Rachel) Marshall, Chelsey (Jared) Schommer, Niki (Aaron) Youngquist; and many great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews in her homeland, Thailand.
Katelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Somkuan and Thongkum Charleonpol; all her brothers and sisters, Pramote, Piramut, Manop, Mana and Manit; as well as her first daughter, baby Faith.
