The Minnesota Speech Coaches Association (MSCA) has released the names of 128 speech competitors, representing 63 different high schools, who have earned a spot on the 2025 MSCA All-State Speech Team. Two River Valley speech team seniors are being honored with this prestigious award.

Lily Kallevig in a senior at Sleepy Eye Public School who has participated in speech for six years in extemporaneous reading and has made three state speech appearances.
To qualify for All-State, speakers must attain a set of milestones established by the MSCA. Those qualifications include being a senior in high school and documented excellence in competition, including at least one appearance at the MSHSL State Speech Tournament.
These students have provided extensive service and leadership to their community. MSCA President-Elect, Travis Rother, stated, “These students are the best of the best.
