Championship Game of Midsummer Classic
Jr. Legion takes home second place in the 15-team Mid-Summer Classic in Sioux Falls. After falling 7-2 to pExcelsior in game one Friday afternoon, the boys responded with an 11-3 win over Sioux Falls. Saturday, the boys defeated Fargo 7-3. Sunday morning the boys defeated Yankton 9-2 to win their pool and advance to the Championship Bracket! Then, in the semi-final of the Championship Bracket, Sleepy Eye defeated Pierre 11-5 to advance to the Championship. In the Championship, the boys held a 4-2 lead in the 5th before surrendering to a 6-run inning, falling to Northrop 8-4.
