Jerome Philip Tauer, 66, a resident of Harrison, passed away on January 17, 2023, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born on March 31, 1956, in Sleepy Eye to Hilarius and Marie Tauer.
He was an active member of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, was active in the choir and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Msgr Adam A Mirek Council #8410. Jerome was a member of the Theatre Company of the Ozarks. He also enjoyed bicycling, bowling, puzzles, and music. He was employed by Westrock for 28 years, recently retiring. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his family and friends.
Jerome is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Bonnie; one son, Anthony Tauer (Patricia) of Conway, Ark.; one daughter, Sarah Tauer Zimmerman of St. Louis, Mo.; one grandchild, Kimberly Tauer; one sister, three brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel of Harrison. Rosary Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2023, with Mass starting at 1 p.m. at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church with Father Ben Riley officiating.
