The SEU golf team traveled to Dacotah Ridge on Monday for an 18-hole invitational with Springfield, New Ulm Cathedral, and Wabasso. For those that are familiar with Dacotah Ridge, it was no surprise that the wind was howling and the course was playing quite tough. However it was nice to finally have a warm day for a golf meet.
The boys shot a 339 on their way placing in first place and defeating their three competitors. The 3-0 finish on the day improves their record to a perfect 37-0 on the year.
The highlight of the day for me no doubt was seeing Jack shoot a personal best 39 on the back nine. He was hitting some really impressive shots and recovered well after hitting a few bad ones. Jack is one of the most coachable kids you will find, so seeing him having the type of breakthrough he had today was really cool to see.
