Diane Maria (Gramentz) Kosbab, one of six children of Erwin and Eleanora (Franke) Gramentz, was a leap year baby born on February 29, 1952, at Union Hospital in New Ulm, Minnesota. She grew up in Sleepy Eye and attended Sleepy Eye Public School through the 11th grade. Following school, Diane worked at a variety of jobs. She met the love of her life, Jeffery Kosbab, and they were united in marriage on August 22, 1998. They lived in Springfield where Diane worked at Tauer Grocery Store and MRCI in New Ulm. In 2014, Diane and Jeffrey moved to Sleepy Eye and after retiring from MRCI, she worked at Hardees and Sleepy Eye Care Center. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Diane was a caregiver at heart and took care of many neighborhood children.
Diane is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jeffrey Kosbab; sisters, Maryann Gramentz and Patsyann Gramentz; brother, Ervin Gramentz; and many special children including Ryan, Camryn, Aubree, and Mallory Maher, Cole, Nicole, Karlynn, and Casen Churchill, Braylen Braulick, Jason and Sandy Maher, Brittany Thoms, Jasmyne Windschitl, Joey Lee, Paige Thoms, Jeana and Josh Beach, Jamie Vanoverback, Jared Spaeth and family, Ashley Maher, and many others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Steve and Sandra; grandparents, Albert and Annie Franke and William and Alvina Gramentz; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
