Now is the time for youth to get scheduled for behind the wheel instruction during the summer. Information has been provided to students who have taken the 30-hour classroom portion of the training. The six hours for behind the wheel will start after Memorial Day since students will be in classes until the week of May 19. Three choices are requested and in many cases, one’s first choice can be honored so sign up early! Students who may have taken the 30- hour classroom course elsewhere are eligible to do the behind the wheel in Sleepy Eye. Call this office for more information.

The Minnesota Safety Council provides the instructor as well as the certificates. The course teaches preventive measures to use when driving that saves lives. Upon completion of the course, a person qualifies for a ten percent discount on vehicle insurance premium for three years.

A number of area residents will be attending the Sidekick Theatre show “Perfect Wedding” on Wednesday May 7. It includes noon lunch, the show and transportation. Registration is needed by April 21. The Sidekick Theatre specializes in comedy and is located in Bloomington.
