Community Education Update 2/20

Fifteen preschoolers had a great time sharing time with their grandparents on Saturday in the ECFE classroom. Many table activities were available with a heart them as well as free play at the various centers. Circle time included the book “I Love Your Forever.” Grandparents shared about their role as grandparents and how they are involved in the lives of their grandchildren.

The ECFE class on Tuesday is still accepting participants so if 4:30-6 p.m. is open for any age preschooler. Come to Room 320 and get involved in the activities that are planned for each week.

Saturday, February 22 is an open gym in the Sleepy Eye Elementary School for preschoolers and their families. Large muscle activities are planned. Time is 3:30-5 p.m.

Quilters will gather on Saturday, February 22 for an all-day class. All skill levels are invited to participate. Each participant brings their own supplies, sewing machines and an item to share at the potluck noon meal.

The first defensive driving course for 2025 will be on Thursday, March 20, 1 p.m. Everyone takes the 4-hour class although the 8-hour class is available online. The reason the ruling was changed is that most drivers turning 55 had driver education instruction as high school students.
