Cecilia Margaret Joyce was born October 17, 2002 in south central Minnesota, into a family that loved her. She found joy in life surrounded by a large family, 9 siblings, 7 nephews & nieces, cousins, aunts & uncles, and friends.
Cecilia played her accordion, participated in high school dance line, and traveled with her family on adventures. In 2021 she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Sleepy Eye, MN.
She chose to pursue a major in English (with a minor in religious studies) at the University of St. Mary in Bismark, ND. There she enjoyed her independence, time with friends, teaching CCD, and dancing.
Cecilia was full of random thoughts and stories sprinkled with humor. As she grew older, some were collected in her writing notebooks and some were joy-filled conversations.
On November 22, 2023 Cecilia took the hand of the guardian angel with her and went toward heaven. There she was greeted as a granddaughter, niece, sister, auntie, cousin, and friend.
The absence of her lively, sweet presence will be felt.
Visitation at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 710 N. Baird Street, Green Bay, WI on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 9:30am until the time of the funeral. Funeral Mass 11am at the church with Rev. Jose Lopez officiating.
