The Miss Sleepy Eye Royalty spent Friday morning having a Bubbly Park Play Date at Kiefer Park with 24 children joining in the fun. Afterwards, the Miss Sleepy Eye Royalty drove around, handing out bottles of cold water to the construction workers, thanking them for helping improve the roads and water lines of our community.
The Sleepy Eye Servicemen’s Club made dponations to four groups from their Charitable Gambling account. The Sleepy Eye Police Department, Fire Department and Ambulance Service each received $500.The Sleepy Eye Chamber of Commerce received $4,500. Sleepy Eye Police Received a call from Krenz Real Estate at 8:40 a.m. Friday 6/26 about a box of military items donated that included two hand grenades. Police called the Bloomington Bomb Squad to come and inspect the hand grenades. The bomb squad said the grenade fuses, caps and blasting powder were removed so they were safe.
