Albert L Ebnet, age 90, of Sleepy Eye and formerly of Springfield died on Nov. 9, 2022, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Monday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield.
The clergy will be Father Phil Schotzko. Interment will be in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.

Albert Lyle Ebnet was born Nov. 13, 1931 on the family farm in New Avon Twp., Redwood County to Albert and Frances (Schottenbauer) Ebnet. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church and attended St. Anne’s grade and high school graduating in 1949.
Albert worked for A.C. Ochs for two years and served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. In 1955 he was on LST 1048 and in Operation Wigwam, An Underwater Atomic Test. He received an Honorable discharge in January of 1956 and worked two years for Franta Chevrolet in Wabasso.
On Jan. 23, 1958, he married Dolores (Weiss) Lang in St. Raphael’s Catholic Church. Dolores was the daughter of Clement and Philomenia (Groebner) Weiss.
Albert worked for Potter’s West Side Auto, Springfield for 20 years and switched to Maintenance for AUI, a calendar factory, later Norwood of Sleepy Eye for 25 years, retiring in 2002. His wife, Dolores passed away Feb. 27, 2004.
On Sept. 24, 2005 Albert married Madonna Theresa (Wersal) Weisensel in St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn.
Albert enjoyed his families, fishing trips to Canada earlier years, bus trips, playing cards, puzzles and genealogy and later reading large print library books.
He is survived by his wife, Madonna Ebnet; daughter, Lori (Brian) Gramentz, New Ulm; son, Steven (Aimee) Ebnet, Star Prairie, WI.; grandchildren, Ben, Kris, Jessica, Katie, Megan; great-grandghildren, Nolan, Aliana, Maeve, Kai, & Ayla; stepchildren Le Ann Johnson, New Ulm, Marietta (Dan) Kinzer, Albany, David Lang, Elk River, Arthur Lang, Maplewood; step grandchildren, James, Christine, Tammy, Aimee, Andrew, Maria, Anna, Emily, and Reid, and many step great-grandchildren, and a sister, Caroline Welsch.
Albert is also survived by stepdaughters Sharon Sehr, Joyce (Gene) Haas, Le Ann Jensen of Springfield, Connie (Dwight) Bluhm of Morgan, and Krisi (Benjamin) Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye; stepsons Jeffery (Stacey) Weisensel and Keith (Jill) Weisensel of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Rose Mary Stueber New Ulm; many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Lucille Hacker (Norman Rogers), Mary Windschitl and Irene Weiss.
He was preceded in death by wife, Dolores; brothers & sisters-in-law, Raymond (Josephine) Ebnet, George (Esther) Ebnet; sister Magdaline; brother-in-law Fred Welsch; four half brothers, Joe Anton, Frank (Laura) Anton, Ed (Dorothy) Anton and Leonard (Genevieve) Anton’ half-sisters, Mary (William) Schumacher and Marcella (Alfred) Netzke; sisters & brothers-in-law, Bernice (Bob) Rose, Angaline (Lowell) Steffi, Clarence Weiss, Cyril Windschitl, Irene (George) Groebner, Evelyn (Raymond) Kastner, Mary Ann (Leo) Vait, Harold (Mary) Wersal, Leonard (Dorothy) Wersal, and William Wersal Jr; stepsons-in-law Ronald Johnson, Duane Weisensel, and Gerard Jensen.
