The Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a missing 17-year-old male in Home North Township, near the State Highway 4 bridge over the Minnesota River at 11:06 p.m. Saturday.
The sheriff’s office used a drone to search for the youth said to have mental health issues, beginning at 11:58 p.m. Saturday but did not find him.
The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office received a tip at 8 a.m. Sunday of a teen walking about a mile east of the Harkin Store on CR 21. Deputies responded, found the male unharmed and transported him home.
Assisting agencies included Brown and Nicollet County Sheriff’s Offices, New Ulm and Sleepy Eye Police, Sleepy Eye and Fairfax Fire Departments, Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service. A report went to Brown County Human Services.
