River Valley Speech team tied for 4th place as a team at the Section 2A Speech tourney held April 14th at JWP.

Kiera Lafferty – Prose – 3rd (State Qualifier)
Lily Kallevig – Ex. Reading – 3rd (State Qualifier) (Sleepy Eye High School)
Aubree Paplow – Prose – 5th

Sleepy Eye High School sophomore Lily Kallevig earned third place for extemporaneous reading. The
MSHSL Class A State Speech tournament will be held on Saturday, April 29 at Eastview High School in
Apple Valley.

The River Valley Speech team consisted of sixteen students from Springfield Public School, nine students
from St. Mary’s School and one student from Sleepy Eye High School.
