Sleepy Eye – 0
-Glencoe jumped out for 9 runs in the top of the 1st and did not look back and dropped Post 800 into the losers bracket.
-Sleepy Eye’s offense was held at bay as they could only muster 2 hits in the game.

Game 2:
Sleepy Eye – 12
New Ulm Silver – 8
-Sleepy Eye jumped out to an 8-2 lead after 3 innings, but errors and walks allowed Silver to score 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th to tie the contest.
-Sleepy Eye responded with 2 runs in the 4th, and single runs in the 6th and 7th to put the game away.
-Sleepy Eye pounded out 21 hits with 8 being for extra bases.

- Sleepy Eye’s bats stayed hot as they jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead after 2 innings.
- Errors allowed Hutchinson back in the game as sloppy defensive play in the bottom of the 3rd contributed to 5 Hutch runs.
- Sleepy Eye was able to respond with a 3 run 6th, and John Mangen came to shut the door for the save in relief of starter Mike Hirsch.

- Sleepy Eye rallied for 2 runs with 2 outs in the 7th to tie the game. John Mangen’s bloop hit scored 2 runs with the bases loaded.
- A Glencoe error in the 8th allowed the game winning run to score as John Mangen came in relief of starter Jon Kopacek to earn his 2nd save of the day.
- The win advanced Sleepy Eye to the Sub-District Championship and also assured their spot in the District Tournament in New Ulm this weekend.
