Shari is excited for launch day!
Shari’s Blog is the thoughts compliled by me, Shari Hittesdorf. I have been a sports writer for Sleepy Eye for the past 10 1/2 years. I’m moving from the newspaper business to an online media resource. I’m excited and rejuvenated about the opportunities Sleepy Eye ONLINE will afford. The sports page will feature all our local high school and youth teams. It also contains scores from around the conference as well as conference standings. And there will be photos, lots and lots of sports photo (there is one page in our website dedicated to just sports photos).
Sleepy Eye ONLINE has plenty of other things to offer community members. We are a “One Stop Hometown Information Center”. News, Sports, Photos, People Stories, Celebrations, What’s Happening, Classified Ads, Newsletters, Forums, Weather, Scoreboards, Schedules, Links to the Community and a whole lot more!
We launch to the world on January 10th.
We’ve compliled a staff of people who care about our community because we all call Sleepy Eye our hometown. Former Sleepy Eye newspaper writer/editor Doreen Tyler is a part of the writing team. Darla Remus is our Ad Sales Representative. Joann Schmidt will be helping with Ad Preparation. Two of my sons will also contribute- Zach will be blogging about video gaming and music while Palmer will be learning about history with the help of the community.
The opportunites for local and area businesses to advertise on our pages are numerous (and very inexpensive).
