Each summer, the Rolling Prairie ABATE Chapter delivers “Buddy Bears” to Public Service agencies in the communities of
?St. James, La Salle, New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, Odin, Trimont, Sherburn, Ceyon, Granada and Truman. The bears are given to youngsters when they have the misfortune of having to take an ambulance ride. The stuffed bears are a security blanket to the young kids, for whom their ride in an ambulance is often a first time event and sometimes a very traumatic and serious one.
The Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service has been the recipient of these bears for many years. Saturday Aug. 3rd the chapter rolled into town and delivered this year’s supply. EMTs accepting the donation included Gloria Nachreiner (second from left), Boots Remus (center) and Nicole Paulson (far right).THIS POST COURTESY: Sleepy Eye Chamber of Commerce, Edward Jones, Stark Farmers Insurance, Dairy Queen, Borth Memorials, Spaeth Ford, Sleepy Eye Medical Center, First Security Agency, Seams to Fit & Tuxes 2, Sturm Funeral Home, Goettig and Ruddy Accounting, Miller Sellner, Cenex/River Region, Culligan, Arneson’s Distributing, Sleepy Eye Off-Sale, Sleepy Eye Chiropractic, Southpoint Federal Credit Union, American Family Insurance, NAPA Auto Parts, Berdan Plumbing, Sleepy Eye Aquatic Center, Sleepy Eye Camper Cabins, Stimpert Enterprises, Sleepy Eye Public School, Americana Community Bank - www.sleepyeyeonline.com
