A championship senior year was capped off with an exclamation point for Carissa Hillmer August 6th.
Hillmer, a 2012 graduate of Sleepy Eye High School was the starting guard on the state participant Indians girls basketball team this past season. She was also a member of the Indians golf team which placed third in the state meet in June. Last week Hillmer got one more chance at glory when she fired a hole-in-one at the New Ulm Country Club. The feat came on hole number two, a par three at 105 yards, using a nine iron.
This is the first hole-in-one in Hillmer’s young career. She first took up competitive golf her junior year in high school.
