Mathiowetz Construction will build the $7.6 million extension and interchange of County Road 12 over Highway 14, the Blue Earth County Board decided Tuesday.
Mathiowetz, based in Sleepy Eye, made the lowest of three bids, about 3.5 percent below Southern Minnesota Construction of Mankato and about 4.5 percent under Lunda Construction, based in Wisconsin.
The winning bid was only .15 percent above the engineer’s estimate.
