Local emergency personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Southdale and First Ave. Wednesday evening. PHOTOS COURTESY GERRY VAN ROEKEL.
The Sleepy Eye Police, Fire and Ambulance Services were dispatched for a Car vs House accident Wednesday night at Southdale St. and First Avenue. The call was actually a two vehicle accident that saw one vehicle come to a rest next to the front of the Dave and Mardy Vosbeck home located on the corner of that intersection.
As luck would have it, the Sleepy Eye Fire Dept. were quick to respond to the incident as they were participating in a training exercise at the time of the dispatch. The Sleepy Eye Ambulance arrived on scene with two ambulances and several staff members. Local police and the Brown Co. Sheriff also assisted at the scene.
