The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Remus at 7:30pm.
Good news items: Girl’s basketball successful year. Softball, baseball and track doing well. Second round elementary test results (3-6 math) appear promising.
Chair recognized visitors, including staff, students and press.
Motion by Ron Geiger, 2nd by Sheila Wurtzberger to approve Agenda as amended. M/C
Motion by Casey Coulson, 2nd by Keith Lendt to approve minutes for the March 8, 2012 meeting. M/C
Motion by Ron Geiger, 2nd by Casey Coulson to approve March bills to be paid pending approval in the amount of $182,026.61, wire payments requesting approval in the amount of $158,306.13, bills paid requesting approval in the amount of $21,300.74, reimbursements paid requesting approval in the amount of $1,200.41, and cash transfer from MSDLAF+ to Americana in the amount of $590,000.00, as presented by Mr. Brian Pederson, finance director. M/C
Presentation by junior class regarding next year’s senior class trip.
Reports
Committees – Negotiations met with principal. CAT met regarding art curriculum; English proposal to follow.
Principal – Staffing for next year. Gearing up for testing season. Senior and recognition ceremonies approaching.
Superintendent – Recapped lobby day at capitol, new student management system, elementary MCA math test results, and PTSA Grandparents Day.
Registration policy was discussed.

A: Approve the sharing of industrial arts position withSpringfieldfor 2012-13
B: Approve revised calendar for 2011-12 (we were not in school on March 15, 2012, State basketball tourney)
C: Approve resignation of Kathy Oglesby effective August 1, 2012
D: Approve Randy Netzke as the JH Softball coach @ $1641
E: Approve resignation of Julie Bode effective April 11, 2012
F: Removed
G: Approve open enrollment request: one in
H: Approve the following policies per policy committee recommendation: 206,208,211,405,406,414,416,419,425
I: Board Authorization to begin new three year flexible learning year proposal M/C

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Remus at 7:30pm.
Good news items: Sixth grade basketball girls won regions. 47 kids attending FFA event. Choir and band kids did well on Saturday. Grandparents’ day was very well attended. SEPS invited to present at curriculum conference next November.

Discussion ensued regarding registration policy and electives. Registration numbers are the same, regardless of 4- and 5-day week; only minutes change.
Four day week application status was discussed.
