The local Youth Energy Summit recieved their grand prize award along with a $1,500 check at a special awards ceremony held May 17 at the SE Community Center.
The Sleepy Eye YES (Youth Energy Summit team) was awarded the Grand Prize along with $1,500 for their efforts this past year in helping our community save energy. The team also took top honor in two categories including Creativity & Innovation and Community Involvement. These awards brings with it $500 each.
