The severe weather awareness drill in which the alert sirens were scheduled to sound has been cancelled due to the weather conditions. The local sirens were scheduled to sound Thursday at 1:45 and 6:55 p.m. but due to the overcast / rainy day, the sheriff’s office does not want to confuse the residents of Brown County. If the sirens do sound Thursday, it is an actual emergency.
You are encouraged to carry out any plans you may have had for a drill in your home or facility as preparation is key in saving lives in emergency situations.
