Nevada Helget and Amanda Neidecker have been named to serve as Advisory Board Members for the CAHN (College of Allied Health and Nursing) Board at Minnesota State University – Mankato.
The two local girls will represent the Communications Disorders Department at MSU. At these board meetings they will talk about their program and happenings with the President of the CAHN.
“We both hope to attend Grad School here at MSU, which is an extremely competitive program,” said Amanda. “Having the privilege of representing our program will hopefully help us into any grad school, although we hope for Mankato.”
“It is a privilage to be named to this board. The major is highly competitive so being selected is an honor and is seen as highly important,” added Nevada. “It will be interesting to meet with students completing different majors, as well as faculty members, and learn about their fields of study. I enjoy learning about new things I don’t know as much about, so I am very excited to be a part of it and am looking forward to this opportunity”
Both Amanda and Nevada are Communication Disorders majors with goals of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist.
