Traffic will use detour on state and county roads
MANKATO, Minn. – Highway 4 motorists will use a detour beginning Monday, April 23, as crews remove a bridge over the Watonwan River and replace nearby culverts north of St. James, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Traffic will detour on Highway 30, Watonwan County Road 18, Watonwan County Road 9 and Brown County Road 18 until the end of July, weather permitting. The detour adds two miles to the trip.
The project includes replacing the bridge over the Watonwan River and installing new culverts for nearby drainage channels. Duininck Inc. of Prinsburg is the contractor for this $1,605,700 project.
